My dear friend:
Not wishing to arouse
any unnecessary suspicions I think it is better I hand you
this note than to see you in private. You remember the letter
I wrote you some time ago, and which you promised to answer
sometime in the future. Of course I know nothing of what you
have decided but would like to know somewhat before I leave
the country. Now can you not address me at 5930 Thompson
Street, Phila. sometime before the 20th of June and
tell me somewhat what I may expect. Do not answer the question
to please me, but to obey Him who cannot work but for our
good. The reason why I desire an answer now is because I
think, should the answer be favorable I could arrange matters
so that you could reach me on the field at once, immediately
after you have finished your preparation, and thus no
unnecessary time would be lost. Consider this prayerfully and
obey Him in whom you trust.
Faithfully your friend
John W Stauffacher
